We welcome you all to Kalady for Rendezvous 2009, on 11&12, Sept.
The details of the competitions are attached herewith.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR COMPETITIONS
1. PROJECT PROPOSAL
· One team, consisting two members from every college is allowed
· The topic will be given on the spot
· Fair copy of the project should be submitted within one and half hour
· The participants have to bring the writing materials.
2. TALENT HUNT
· A team of two members from each college is permitted
· There will be two ladder rounds and a final round
· General knowledge, aptitude test, situation management, and presentation skill will be tested
· If there are more than five teams, there will be a screening test
3. STREET PLAY
Theme: "Health security at cross roads"
· One entry from each college, not exceeding 10 participants (Including musical and technical supporters)
· Time allowed for each team is maximum of 10 min.
· Drums and placards can be used
· Necessary probes (simple) required for the play can be brought by the team
4. TRADITIONAL FOLK DANCE
(Can present any traditional folk dances; Bhangada, dances of different tribes, etc)
· A team of 12 members from each college (including supporters) can participate
· Time allowed for each team is 10 min(from empty to empty)
· Use of traditional instruments is preferred
· CD/DVD or any other recorded support system is permitted
· All the participants should be on the stage (including singers and instruments)
· Necessary properties,(non plastic) can be used for setting the background / stage
5. THEME SHOW
Theme: "Right to Live"
· A team of maximum 12 members from each college can participate, including supporters
· Time allotted for each team is 10 minutes (from empty to empty)
· The participants can use necessary properties and musical instruments for the show.
· The team can present the show in any medium of their choice like drama, dance, mime or mix of them.
6. DOCU-FICTION
Theme: "LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL"
· One entry from each college is pemitted
· Time allotted for each documentary is 10 min
· Camera lens of more than 8 mpx should be used
· Completed documentary should be submitted during the registration time for screening, before 12 noon of the first day
· A separate sheet of the crew should be submitted along with the documentary
· Documentary should not contain any details of the crew or any communication revealing the identity of the production team.
· Arrangements have been made with some of the leading media channels of Kerala for the telecast of the program.
GENERAL RULES
· For reason constraints, events will be held in multiple venues (any inconvenience is regretted)
· Each college must have a team leader to communicate with the organizers at Enquiry counters (competition)
· Participants must compulsorily bring their college identity cards
· Decision of the judges will be final; any complaints regarding judgment should be submitted to the competition committee.
· LCD projector will be available at the venue
· Laptops with necessary soft ware, if required, should be brought by the participants.
· The institutions have to register for the events before 2 September either by email/call.

Registration Fee and Accommodation
The registration fee proposed is Rs.200. It includes the food (10am, 11th to 4pm12th), seminar participation and accommodation at the campus. We would be happy to arrange separate accommodation outside the campus at their cost, if informed in advance.
